Whistler RCMP have arrested a man for drug possession and for obstructing a peace officer. Last week, on July 21, an officer heard some kind of commotion outside the Whistler police detachment.
The officer went outside and saw a man snorting what police believe was cocaine. When the officer tried to arrest the man, the latter ran away but he was arrested shortly after.
Police released the man with a future court date.
Drunk man causes disturbance
On July 24, Whistler RCMP responded to two reports of disturbance about a drunk man smashing mailboxes near Balsam Way.
Officer located the man and arrested him for causing a disturbance. He was issued a violation ticket for being drunk in a public place and a bylaw ticket for causing a nuisance.
There was no damage to the mailboxes, police say.
