Owners Sam Roberts and Will Stewart of Coworking Whistler are launching their first advisory cohort this month. The program aims to help local businesses improve their online and social media presence. This will be the first advisory services they have added since opening their doors a little over a year ago. With the summer peak season fast approaching the timing is now to make it easier for customers to find you and grow your business.
“Shoulder season is the perfect time to invest in growing your local business, which is why we’ve decided to pilot this advisory group,” says Stewart. “The program is targeted at companies eligible for Small Business BC (SBBC) grant of up to $2,400 for eligible BC companies’ to support costs relating to adopting digital technologies.”
The Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a micro-grant eligible for BC registered companies to help implement or upgrade all things digital such as your website, adding or upgrading online point-of-sale software, bolstering cybersecurity, or initiating new online paid advertising on Google or other social media platforms.
“The program has a capped federal budget so the sooner you apply the better chance you have to make use of the program”, says Roberts. “As a small business, we have already gone through the application process ourselves and there is so much opportunity to grow any business through this program and we’re excited to help other local businesses make the most of this funding.”
In addition to the $2,400 rebated grant, once a company is accepted, it has up to 10 free hours of advisory training directly with SBBC advisors to help drive the growth of its business during the 90-day program.
