A new cannabis store is opening on Main Street in Whistler next week. THC Canada, which bills itself as a ‘pioneering force’ in British Columbia’s cannabis retail landscape, has announced the grand opening of its second location in Whistler.

The grand opening celebration will take place on December 7, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm at 4368 Main Street, Unit 115. The company operates another store in South Vancouver.

“Securing one of only four cannabis retail licenses in Whistler is a testament to THC Canada’s commitment to excellence and compliance in the legal cannabis market,” said Spensir Sangara, President of THC Canada. “It’s an honour to open up in the most legendary place in Canada.”

In a press release, the company said the selection of Main Street locations in Vancouver and Whistler reflects THC Canada’s strategy of establishing a presence in high-visibility, accessible areas. “The new Whistler store will maintain the company’s commitment to knowledgeable staff, premium product selection, and exceptional customer service that has defined their Vancouver operation,” the company said.

The grand opening celebration will be a showcase event for both locals and visitors, featuring special discounts and promotions, free giveaways from some of Canada’s top cannabis brands, and content creation opportunities. The event will introduce the Whistler community, with festivities continuing at an afterparty hosted at the iconic Longhorn Saloon.
