In March 2024, officers raided suspected homes in Whistler and arrested four men. The operation involved the Whistler RCMP, Sea to Sky RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS), Squamish RCMP, Pemberton RCMP, the Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT), and Police Dog Services (IPDS).

Three Face Charges

On December 10, 2024, police filed charges against three of the men, who were residents of Whistler at the time. The charges include:

Evan Stott, 29, was charged with four counts of trafficking a controlled substance under section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Edric Horne, 29, was charged with one count of possession for trafficking under section 5(2) of the CDSA.

Gavin Butler, 31, was charged with three counts of trafficking under section 5(1), one count of possession for trafficking under section 5(2), and one count of possession for export under section 6(2) of the CDSA.

The three men appeared in court on December 11, 2024.

Staff Sergeant Sascha Banks praised the investigation team’s work, highlighting their dedication to keeping Whistler safe. “Their professionalism and hard work resulted in these charges, and we will continue working with our community to ensure organized crime is not welcome here,” she said.
