Multi-vehicle collision: Highway 99 to remain close for ‘several hours’

A multi-vehicle collision has forced the full closure of Highway 99 in both directions between Copper Drive and Murrin Lake Provincial Park, according to DriveBC.

#LMDICARS has deployed to #BCHwy99, south of Murrin Park for a serious multi-vehicle collision. The highway is fully closed and will remain so for several hours while we investigate. Police has confirmed that investigators are on scene, and the highway will remain closed for several hours. Crews are working to turn travelers around, but there is no estimated time for reopening.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area. The next update from DriveBC is expected at 6:30 p.m.
