Witnesses sought to crash involving Whistler RCMP vehicle

The Sea to Sky RCMP General Investigations Section is asking for witnesses and dash camera footage following a collision involving a police vehicle on Friday morning.

The incident occurred on March 14, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m. when a Whistler RCMP officer driving a marked police vehicle collided with another car on Highway 99 near Cheakamus Lake Road. Both the officer and the other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local clinic for treatment.

The Sea to Sky RCMP General Investigations Section has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the factors that led to the crash. Police have confirmed no ongoing traffic disruptions related to the incident.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage from the area to contact Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044.
