RMOW launches new career portal for job seekers

staff report
April 1, 2025 3:53pm

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) has launched a new online recruitment system to make hiring more efficient and user-friendly.

As Whistler’s second-largest employer, with nearly 600 staff across departments ranging from snow removal to legislative services, the RMOW hires dozens of new employees yearly. In 2024, the municipality brought on 188 new hires.

The new recruitment portal, powered by Workforce Now, allows job seekers to view, apply for, and track the status of their applications through a centralized Career Centre. The tool is part of an initiative to improve digital services at whistler.ca. A complete website relaunch is also being worked on.

“This upgrade is about making it easier and more engaging for people to find meaningful work with the RMOW,” the municipality said in an announcement.

Those who applied for positions before March 31 will not need to reapply, and applications submitted remain under consideration.

Job seekers can access current listings at whistler.ca. After selecting a position, users are directed to the new Career Centre, where they can apply and track application status through a personalized dashboard.
