The Resort Municipality of Whistler is hosting a series of free concerts and outdoor movie nights at Whistler Olympic Plaza again this summer. Set against a spectacular mountain backdrop, 13 nights of live musical entertainment have been confirmed for the Whistler Summer Concert Series in July and August.

“We take pride in welcoming the world to our beautiful mountain community,” says Whistler Mayor Jack Crompton. “Each year, the Whistler Summer Concert Series cultivates a vibrant atmosphere that brings people together through the exhilarating shared experience of live music. The international musical talent that the 2025 lineup brings to Whistler reflects the unmatched energy of our world-class resort. This year is special for the Resort Municipality of Whistler: our 50th anniversary and Sam Roberts Band will headline the celebrations August 22.”

The Whistler Summer Concert Series will kick off with beloved Canadian musician Bahamas, a five-time JUNO Award winner and Grammy nominee, as part of Whistler’s Canada Day celebrations on Tuesday, July 1. The live outdoor shows will continue Thursdays and Fridays for July and August, with a break surrounding the Crankworx mountain bike festival in August.

In addition to Bahamas, this summer’s lineup features Moontricks, Wild Rivers, Mo’Kalamity, 54•40, Chali 2na and the House of Vibe, Chantal Kreviazuk, Paco Versailles, Owen Riegling, PINEO & LOEB, Sam Roberts Band, Drag in the Mountains, and Hollow Coves. Concert programming begins at 6:30 p.m. with live opening DJ sets before the headlining performers take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Whistler’s free Outdoor Movie Nights will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout July, beginning at 8 p.m., as the sun is setting behind the surrounding mountains. This summer’s films include Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Grease, The Call of the Wild, Wayne’s World, Bend it Like Beckham, and Whip It.

Concert and movie audiences are encouraged to enjoy an early dinner in the village at one of Whistler’s delectable dining establishments or an open-air takeout meal amidst the festival-like atmosphere of Whistler Olympic Plaza. Complimentary secure bike parking will be available for those who pedal along the Valley Trail to the event to support Whistler’s Big Moves climate action strategy.

These free outdoor programs are funded by provincial Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT Hotel Tax) revenues collected in Whistler to support tourism initiatives across the community. More information is available at whistler.ca/concerts.
