A woman in Lillooet has been arrested for assaulting a police officer.
On August 25, a woman called the police to say she required help after an argument with someone. When police arrived, the homeowner told police a woman was squatting in his house and refused to leave.

Police warned the woman she would have to leave or she would be arrested. The woman began packing her bags and threw a packed bag at one of the police officers.
The woman was arrested for assaulting a police officer, and transported to Lillooet cells. However, she was later released without charges.
Attempted theft of vehicle
On August 26 at 9 am, a man reported to police that sometime had tried to steal a vehicle parked in the driveway.
It appeared that someone was pushing the vehicle out of the driveway, but the steering locked, which caused the vehicle to strike a tree on the lawn. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2022-1815.
Intoxicated in public
On August 26 at 7:30pm, a woman reported an intoxicated man drinking under the bridge near the intersection of Moon Creek Rd and Lillooet Pioneer Road 40.
She was concerned he might fall into the river. Police attended and located an intoxicated half-dressed man still drinking under the bridge. The man was cooperative and arrested for being intoxicated in public, and later sent back to his family.
