Police caution drivers to be prepared for winter driving conditions as there is heavy snowfall in the area and temperatures are cold. Police also encourage travellers to inform family and friends of your driving plan so they know you’re safe, as there is little to no mobile phone reception in this area.
Timeline for full re-opening of the road is not yet known, but anticipated to be into the evening sometime.
