The Whistler Institute is excited to be hosting a symposium at the Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA) conference in Whistler this April.
A Roof Over Our Heads: Exploring Mountain Resort Housing Possibilities, will feature panel discussions of mountain resort housing solutions to be followed by an audience Q&A. This is the institute’s first Global Perspectives Speaker Series event of 2023, a multi-panel discussion on Thursday April 27 at the Whistler Conference
Housing a local workforce is among the most pressing matters facing mountain resorts today. This event will feature industry experts from throughout North America, who will speak to mountain resort housing models utilized in Whistler before expanding the lens to explore mountain resort housing models throughout North America.
The symposium will provide the audience with an opportunity to gain insight into numerous mountain resort housing models. The discussions will be followed by an opportunity for the audience to engage in a Q&A session. The Industry experts will be announced on their website and social media.
“I believe the mountain resort housing dilemma applies to anyone living, working or visiting a mountain resort. Having attended numerous CWSAA conferences in the past as a CWSAA member I am excited to be involved in facilitating a symposium at this year’s conference in my home town of Whistler,” said Dave Williamson, Board Chair of the Whistler Institute.
