The theft happened sometime between May 2 and 6, Whistler RCMP said. Thieves drove off the blue Whistler Taxi, a Toyota Matrix with BC licence plate SH8423, which was parked at an underground parkade in the 4200 block of Gateway Drive. The car had a tracker but it was disabled by thieves, police said.

Whistler RCMP is also investigating theft of small hand tools that were stolen from a construction site. The theft happened between May 5 and 7, when some unknown people broke into a construction site in the 1700 block of River Run Place.  Thieves broke into the secure property and stole small hand tools. Police continues to investigate both thefts.

Police ask anyone with information regarding the above files to contact the Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
