Whistler RCMP is asking for public’s help in finding suspects in break-ins at local construction sites in town.

On May 29, Whistler RCMP officers received calls after thefts from two local construction sites during the overnight hours of the May long weekend. Several tools were stolen from both sites with an approximate value of $12,000. Police are seeking help in identifying the suspects.

Stolen bike recovered
On May 22, an alert citizen notified Whistler RCMP of an individual in possession of what was believed to be a stolen bike. The bike was seized returned to the rightful owner.
Fraud investigation
Whistler RCMP officers are investigating two reports of fraud in the community. In one incident, an individual was contacted by an unknown number identifying themselves as the Canadian Revenue Agency. In another incident, money was paid via e-transfer with the intent of purchasing a vehicle. Thise who believe they are victims of fraud are asked to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and their local police force.
