A 26-year-old man is dead after a drowning accident at Rice Lake in North Vancouver.
The incident happened on Saturday, June 3. Emergency crews responded to the incident around 3:30 pm on Saturday. Two firefighters jumped into the lake and brought the man ashore, but efforts to save him were unsuccessful. He had been submerged in the water for one or two minutes when the rescuers reached him.

Kit Little of the North Vancouver District Fire and Rescue told Global News.
