The RMOW has issued an alert after a grizzly bear sighting in Whistler. On Saturday, September 2, the Conservation Officer Service received a report of a grizzly bear in the Rainbow Lake area.

Residents and visitors to the Rainbow Lake area are reminded that this is grizzly bear habitat and to take caution when using trails, cautions RMOW. Carrying bear spray and hiking in a group can help.
