Whistler will welcome the first Rocky Mountaineer train of the 2024 season on April 27 as the luxury train resumes service on the Vancouver-Jasper route. One of the most famous glass-domed trains in the world, Rocky Mountaineer offers all-daylight journeys through Western Canada and the American Southwest, showcasing some of North America’s most breathtaking scenery.
The first departures for each of Rocky Mountaineer’s four unforgettable routes are as follows:
First Passage to the West on April 15 (Vancouver – Kamloops – Banff)
Journey Through the Clouds on April 16 (Vancouver – Kamloops – Jasper)
Rockies to the Red Rocks on April 25 (Denver – Glenwood Springs – Moab)
Rainforest to Gold Rush on April 27 (Vancouver – Whistler – Quesnel – Jasper)
In a press release, the company said Rocky Mountaineer has redesigned its menus on the Canadian routes, providing guests with a choice of meal options inspired by the areas the train passes through. The company continues to collaborate with local suppliers to offer regionally sourced ingredients.
Rocky Mountaineer offers Circle Journey packages that combine two iconic rail trips for guests wanting to explore even more of the Canadian Rockies. These packages range from eight to 14 nights, with up to five days onboard the train. For the first time this year, Rocky Mountaineer is partnering with the Moab Music Festival to connect travellers with one of the most anticipated musical events in the Southwest.
The special edition package, Sounds in the Southwest, will run from September 3 to 11, 2024, offering an eight-night musical travel experience.
