staff report
June 7, 2024 3:26pm

Coquitlam RCMP is appealing for public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a series of alleged indecent acts around Maillard Middle School.

The incidents, which occurred between May 27 and June 4, 2024, involved a man seen on and around the school property at 1300 Rochester Avenue between noon and 2 p.m. While the suspect did not approach anyone, his presence raised concerns.

Authorities believe the same individual is responsible for all the incidents. The RCMP are collaborating with School District 43 – Coquitlam in their investigation. Coquitlam RCMP’s Victim Services has been engaged to support those affected by these events.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late teens to 25s. He has dirty blonde to light brown short curly hair and stands between 5’9″ and 6′ tall. He has a slim build and stubble around his chin. Anyone with information is urged to contact Coquitlam RCMP.
