Whistler Village Beer Festival announces music lineup

staff report
June 25, 2024 11:40am

The Whistler Village Beer Festival (WVBF), presented by Gibbons Whistler & Brewhalla, has announced the music lineup for the 11th edition of its Main Event.

Headlining the festival is the Big Love Band, known for their unique blend of baritone vocals, country rock guitars, and lively fiddle tunes. Originating from Whistler, the band is set to bring their energetic “Big Love” twist to well-known favourites.

Fresh Cut Grass, a five-piece ensemble from Squamish, is making its debut at the festival. They will bring a wave of 90s and 2000s nostalgia with their alt-rock and emo influences, promising an engaging afternoon performance.

Festival regular, Red Chair, will close out the event with a high-energy set of rock hits from the ‘50s to today. Known for their rock and roll experience, Red Chair has been a staple of the beer festival for many years.

Ensuring the smooth flow of the Main Event is Whistler’s favourite DJ, DJ Foxy Moron. Voted best DJ by Pique Newsmagazine readers for six consecutive years, she is celebrated for her turntable skills and diverse music selection. Accompanying her on the mic is Sea to Sky legend Feet Banks, ensuring the beats and good times keep rolling throughout the day.
