The Sea to Sky RCMP urges all drivers to exercise caution on the Sea to Sky Highway following a series of traffic incidents over the recent long weekend. Due to heavy traffic flow in both directions, officers responded to multiple incidents between Squamish and Whistler, which resulted in significant delays and minor injuries.
“Long weekends typically bring an influx of travellers to our region, and this past weekend was no exception,” stated Sgt. Dallas Langley of the Sea to Sky RCMP-Squamish. “We observed a substantial increase in traffic, which unfortunately led to several collisions, most of which could have been avoided.”

The Sea to Sky RCMP-Squamish urges all drivers to prioritize road safety by adhering to speed limits, maintaining safe following distances, and avoiding distractions like mobile devices.
