Whistler RCMP seek help finding family of non-verbal child found alone

Whistler RCMP is requesting public assistance to identify the family of a child found alone so he can be safely returned to their care.

In a press release today, Whistler RCMP said they received a report of an unaccompanied boy at the Dairy Queen on 4338 Main Street on September 7, 2024, at approximately 10:05 p.m.

The child, estimated to be around 12 years old, was barefoot and non-verbal. Despite an ongoing investigation, the RCMP have not yet determined where the child is from or who his family is.

Description of the child:

  • Approximately 12 years old
  • Light brown complexion
  • Short brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Non-verbal
  • Last seen wearing a green t-shirt with a button collar and heather-grey shorts

Anyone who recognizes the child or has information about his family is urged to contact Whistler RCMP at 604-905-3044 immediately.
