Detours in place as walkway near Whistler Municipal Hall closed

The walkway between the Municipal Hall’s main entrance and the RCMP building will be partially closed for the next three to four weeks due to sprinkler installation work. Despite the closure, the public can still access the front desk at Municipal Hall and the RCMP/Public Safety Building via a short detour. Residents should be aware of limited parking and single-lane traffic in the area. Additionally, the bike rack, post box, and waste bins have been temporarily relocated during construction.

Sewer and Water Valve Repairs on Spruce Grove Way

Construction on Spruce Grove Way is set to continue for the next several weeks as crews work to repair sewer and water valves and fittings. Parking along Spruce Grove Way, between Fitzsimmons Road North and the Spruce Grove Field entrance, will be unavailable until the project is completed.

Creekside Water Main Upgrades Wrap-Up

Creekside residents can expect some minor disruptions as contractors finish site restoration following the completion of water main upgrades in the area. The primary construction work is now finished.

Planned Burns for Fuel Management in Emerald West, Brio, and Brio Extension

Fuel management crews will conduct planned burns in the Emerald West, Brio, and Brio Extension neighborhoods over the next four weeks, thanks to favorable venting conditions this month. Smoke may be visible in these areas during this period as part of the ongoing wildfire prevention efforts.

Fuel Management Project at Cheakamus Lake Trail

BC Wildfire Service crews are completing a small fuel management project along the Cheakamus Lake Trail in Garibaldi Park this week. This work is part of efforts to reduce wildfire risks in the popular trail area.
