The winter season is set to begin in style with Whistler Winterlight, a two-day celebration at Whistler Olympic Plaza where the Ferris wheel takes center stage.

On Friday, November 29, the plaza will transform into a festive wonderland with vibrant light installations, a live DJ, and immersive activities from 6 to 8 p.m. The Ferris wheel will be a main attraction, offering stunning views of Whistler Village’s holiday lights from above.

Rides will be available in two slots, from 3 to 5 p.m. and again during the main event from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees can enjoy ice skating at the outdoor rink and seasonal treats to keep warm.

For those unable to attend Friday’s festivities, Saturday, November 30, will offer an extra chance to experience Whistler’s first-ever Ferris wheel. Rides will be open from noon to 7 p.m., with tickets priced at $5 per person. Proceeds from Saturday’s rides will go to local charities, making it a fun and meaningful way to take in the mountain views and holiday atmosphere.

The Ferris wheel has height restrictions, requiring riders to be at least 48 inches tall to ride alone or 42 inches if accompanied by an adult. Whether joining the kick-off celebration on Friday or participating in the Saturday rides, Whistler Winterlight promises an unforgettable way to welcome the winter season.
