Water restrictions are in effect in Pemberton

Staff report
July 21, 2022 5:34pm

The Village of Pemberton advises that Level Water 1 water restrictions are in effect in the community.

Sprinkling

between 10pm – 4am the following day

Hand watering is permitted.

Water restrictions are set by the Village of Pemberton and apply only to the use of treated drinking water – not private well water and recycled water.

“Please do your part to keep Pemberton’s drinking water supply and critical infrastructure secure,” says the Village of Pemberton. “With population growth and climate change, there is increasing pressure on our water supply. Water restrictions help to make sure we have enough treated drinking water for everyone during the dry summer months. Water restrictions are in effect from June 1 through September 30 each year.”

Outdoor Water Use Permit application

If you have recently completed landscaping improvements such as seeding or sod installment on a substantial portion of the property that require sprinkling, watering, or irrigation, you may apply for an Outdoor Water Use Permit for a fee of $30.00.
