Whistler RCMP said the logging truck flipped over into a ditch near Lillooet Lake Rd. and Seymour Road near Mt. Currie on Highway 99. Initially the driver was stuck inside the truck but got himself out.
Police arrived and saw multiple signs of impairment, and the driver also refused to provide a breath sample. Officers issued him a 90-day driving prohibition and impounded his truck for 30 days. The driver was treated for minor medical injuries.
In another incident, an officer on patrol saw a driver overcorrect their driving. When the officer stopped the car, the driver first denied drinking but then said she had only drink. In a similar incident, an international driver stopped by police smelled of cannabis and showed physical signs of impairment. In both cases, breath tests resulted in ‘fail.’
Whistler RCMP issued 90 day driving prohibitions and impounded both cars for 30 days.

How lucky for everyone that he rolled it into a ditch and not into another vehicle. This is terrible. How many people have to die in accidents involving big trucks before some pre-emptive action is taken to get these drivers off the road. He should be banned from driving anything other than a bicycle for at least 5 years.
