Couple ‘making out and spooning’ asked to leave by Lillooet RCMP after complaint

September 19, 2022 4:03pm

Lillooet RCMP officers were called to a report of a man and a woman ‘making out and spooning’ on a lawn behind a building.

On September 12 at 11 am, a resident called the police about a man and woman who were ‘making out and spooning’ on a lawn behind a commercial building on Main Street. Police attended and ‘requested the couple to take their spooning elsewhere’ after which the couple left the area.

In their latest media release, Lillooet RCMP also reported that a man was seen swinging a piece of wood, but was not having a mental health issue as it was reported to police. On September 12 at 12 pm, a man saw another man on Moha Road swinging a club and possibly having a mental health issue.

Lillooet RCMP attended and found a man swinging a piece of wood, but the man told the police he was fighting off wasps. Police asked him to put down the piece of wood and approached him to see that there were several wasps around him. The man was polite and was not having any mental health issue, police say.

On September 13 at 2 pm, Lillooet RCMP conducted a foot patrol of Downton Park. “The park is  known as a problem area for open liquor and public intoxication. Police located two open cans of beer on a picnic table that were empty. There was a group of people sitting against the museum building, however no one appeared intoxicated,” says Lillooet RCMP.
